Notice:
- Parking Enforcement & Towing: If a vehicle is left on a City street and not moved for 48 hours IT WILL BE TOWED!!! If it snows, vehicle MUST BE MOVED within 24 hours! This includes all street north of the airport. To avoid personal, pedestrian & auto damage DO NOT drive through snow windrows!
- The City of Gunnison has a voluntary parking system to help expediate snow removal. During snow removal operations, citizens are asked to park on the even side of the street on even days of the month, and on the odd side of the street during odd days of the month. Thank you for your cooperation.
This division maintains the City's public right-of-ways. This encompasses about 30 miles of streets along with another 25 miles of alley's! Crews are on call throughout the winter to provide snowplowing and street sanding. In residential area's, the City's right-of-way between the curb and the private property line is used for storing the snow plowed off the streets. It is the private property owners responsibility to clean snow from their adjacent sidewalks.
