Educating the public has been the most effective way to gain the support for this partnership and to promote an understanding between the citizens of Gunnison, including Western State College students, and the police department. The men and women of the Gunnison Police Department are dedicated to serving your needs. A major part of the solution for stopping crime is an involved community working in partnership with police. It is our hope that our community will gain new insights into how police officers perform their duties and identify ways that we can work together for a safer and livable community.
