Our city is managed by a Council/Manager form of government. There are five elected councilors chosen at-large throughout the City.
The City Council meets Tuesday evenings at 7:00PM in the Council Chambers of City Hall. The second and fourth Tuesday of each month are Regular Sessions. A Regular Session is the only session in which the City Council may take any official action. Work Sessions, if needed, are the first and third Tuesday of every month or prior to the Regular Session.
Our City Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our City, while the City Clerk's office serves as the clerk to the City Council. The City Clerk is appointed by the City Manager, subject to confirmation by the City Council.
The City Clerk oversees the City Council agendas with the approval of the City Manager. If anyone wants to appear on the agenda, please contact the City Clerk's office. The City Clerk attends all of the weekly Council meetings and keeps a permanent journal of Regular Session meetings. The weekly agenda and minutes archive is located on the above toolbar.
