City of Gunnison Planning Department

The Planning Department reviews applications for development projects, including annexations, conditional uses, vacations, variances, subdivisions, and zoning amendments. The staff then makes recommendations to City Council, the Planning and Zoning Commission or the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals who have the ultimate decision-making authority.   The staff also drafts and recommends to the appropriate decision-making body policies and procedures related to development and special projects within the community.
