The Gunnison Communications Office provides communications services to all of Gunnison and Hinsdale County. This includes normal as well as emergency traffic for Gunnison Police department, Gunnison Sheriffs Office, Crested Butte Marshals Office, Mt Crested Butte Police Department, Hinsdale County Sheriffs Office, Gunnison Volunteer Fire Department, Crested Butte Volunteer Fire Department, Ohio City Volunteer Fire Department, Almont Volunteer Fire Department, Lake City Volunteer Fire Department, Gunnison Valley Hospital Ambulance Service, Crested Butte Ambulance Service, Lake City Ambulance Service, Gunnison Valley Search and Rescue, Western State Search and Rescue and other federal, state and local area agencies in the two counties or passing through.
