The Community Development Department administers the City's Land Development Code, 2009 International Building Code and the 2009 International Fire Code. The code ensure that development within the city limits is done in a way that respects the rights of adjacent property owners, contributes positively to the community character, provides safety for the public, considers environmental impacts, and plans for future growth.
Staff works closely with the Planning and Zoning Commission, City Council and the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals in the enforcement of City policies.
