GUNNISON "BLACK GOLD" COMPOST
Gunnison "Black Gold" Compost is a waste resource management facility designed to recycle nitrogen rich municipal sludge (biosolids) and carbon rich wastes from the wood products industry. Using a simple process to dewater sludge from our City Wastewater Treatment Plant through gravity, the resulting waste is mixed with the wood waste. This creates an organic fertilizer and soil conditioner of food chain quality. Located high in the Rocky Mountains in Gunnison, Colorado this facility produces a natural organic compost that is available to nurseries, garden centers, the landscape industry, and retail users throughout the world. This product is also available for industrial uses in mining site reclamation, reforestation, construction site and highway revegetation, and farm soil amendment. To build up soils, promote healthy plant growth, and mitigate or control soil erosion, use Gunnison's "Black Gold".
Whether you are a wholesale provider of fertilizing material or a backyard gardener, we will do everything in our power to take care of your needs. We offer tours of our facility and provide for product pick-up on site or will deliver to your location.
